Through a multi-year grant from the Kansas Health Foundation, Thrive Allen County is working to build a state-wide rural advocacy coalition called Thriving Kansas.
The mission of Thriving Kansas is to strengthen Kansas non-metropolitan communities by ensuring their voices are heard and they have a seat at the legislative table sharing best practices, demonstrating the invaluable role our communities play in our state. Of Kansas’ 105 counties, 99 of them are considered rural. These voices need to be heard. We are here to magnify them.
Thriving Kansas is committed to advocacy on behalf of non-metropolitan communities in the state of Kansas. For too long smaller community mindsets have been that our best days are behind us. This needs to change. We are building a coalition to help change attitudes on local and state levels to not only maintain our rural communities, but to keep them thriving and prospering into the future.
