Mark Fenton, a nationally-recognized expert in public health, planning, and transportation issues, is visiting Allen County October 25-27, 2015.
Fenton will help Allen County communities evaluate their built environment, discuss the importance of integrating activity into our daily lives, and offer suggestions for improving our physical and economic health.
The public is invited to participate in the activities, which will include:

- A Healthy Community Design Workshop in Iola
- A tour of the Prairie Spirit Trail, Southwind Trail Trail, Mo-Pac Trail, and Lehigh Portland Trails in Iola
- A town square tour and walk audit in Humboldt
- A joint meeting with the Iola city council and USD 257 school board
- A leadership breakfast with an inspirational and compelling presentation of why healthy design matters
